Frankfurt Beats Rangers to Lift the UEFA Europa trophy
The 2022 UEFA Europa league final kicked off at Seville this evening between Scottish 2021/22 Scottish league champions Rangers, and German giants, Frankfurt.

The game has had alot of anticipations about it considering the feats accomplished by both teams during the early stages of the tournament, including Frankfurt’s beating of Barcelona and Ranger’s dramatic come back second leg against RB Leipzig. The first half of the game didn’t have any goal but Nigerian forward Joe Aribo put Rangers in front just 12 minutes into the second half, that lead did not last long though as Rafael Borre found the net from Filip Kostic’s well delivered cross to equalise for Frankfurt 12 minutes later. Both teams didn’t let any goal in after that and the game continued being a stall even after extra times were played and that inevitably lead to the penalty shootouts. The Germans kept their cool during the shootout but the same can’t be said for the Scottish side as Kevin Trapp saved Rangers fourth penalty from Aaron Ramsey, finally giving his team the trophy. Frankfurt will be heading for the UEFA super cup finals against the UEFA Champions League winner, and have automatically qualified for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
