Mikel Obi’s Contract Terminated Once AgainFollowing his contract been mutually terminated by Tranzbonspor for publicly criticizing his club and league, Mikel Obi moved to English Championship side, Stoke City.
He had a successful stint with the club, playing 41 games for them before moving to Kuwaiti club, Kuwait SC this season, reported to be earning £4,000,000 annually, making him the highest paid player of the league. But unfortunately, the one time Super Eagles Captain’s time at the club has unhappily come to an end as his contract with the Brigadiers has been terminated.
The reason for the termination has not yet been revealed at the moment by both parties.
The 34 year old defensive midfielder made name for himself at ChelseaFC, winning 11 trophies for the London club and winning the AFCON for the Super Eagles.He was recently made the youth Ambassador for the federal ministry of youth and sports.
