Nigeria Out Of AFCON As Tunisia And Burkinafaso Qualify

The Super Eagle’s unbeaten run in the African Cup Of Nations- AFCON came to an end this evening as Nigeria was beaten by Tunisia 0-1 at Stade Roumde Adija and they exit the AFCIN tournament at the Round-Off 16 satge alongside Gabon who where earlier kicked out by Burkinafaso in a penalty shootout.The first half didn’t have much action as both teams played out a draw with the Super Eagles missing a few chances.
But Tunisian Forward Youssef Msanki scored early in the second half in the 47th Minute to gain the lead for the North African nation.Alex Iwobi was brought in to replace Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho in the 59th minute but got a red card five minutes later to reduce the 2019 Semi-final it’s to ten men until the end of the game when Senegalese refree Maguette Ndiaye called the game to a stop to give Tunisia the win.The Super Eagles have won their three last game against Tunisia in the tournament in 2019, drawing the last five. Even though Austin Eguavoen’s men performed well in the game and in the group stage, winning three games in four, scoring six and conceeding only twice, they come to a sorrowful end of this AFCON tournament.They will be facing Ghana’s black stars next in the world cup qualifiers.
