Super Eagles Captain and Fatih Karagürük winger, Ahmed Musa has declared that this AFCON- tournament will be his last AFCON tournament. In an interview prior to the Super Eagles clash against The Pharaohs of Egypt, the 29 year old said ” Why I said that is because AFCON is every two years, then in the next two years I don’t think I will be in the National team but we still have another tournament, the World Cup. So if we qualify i make chance if the coach decides to call me. In another two years I don’t think I can make it to the AFCON, so that’s why I am saying this is my last AFCON”.So according to Musa, he might be retirering from international football after the World Cup.
The former Leicester City man has won numerous honours with the Super Eagles, including the 2013 AFCON tournament in South Africa, he has played 106 games for the Super Eagles, with 16 goals.
